Wraysbury Dragons raced at the BDA National Championships at Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham with two days of intense racing organised by the British Dragon Boat Racing Association.
It was a remarkable weekend of racing for us, with the following results :
- 200m Open champions
- 200m Mixed champions
- 200m Senior Open – 4th
- 200m S12 Women – 2nd
- 500m Open champions
- 500m Mixed champions
- 500m Senior Open champions
- 500m S12 Women – 3rd
- 2,000m Open champions
This list of successes resulted in us winning the Colenorton Trophy for the most successful club at the
National Championships, a trophy we had not won previously.
Even in 200m Senior Open we were leading when the Thames Taniwhas helm lost control of their boat and hit us astern).
A truly wonderful performance by Wraysbury Dragons.
