What a splendid day of weather for the Dragon Boat National Racing Day at BDA Milton Keynes. We were filled with excitement as we eagerly took part in the highly competitive Open S20 category. Our crew consisted of 22 paddlers, including 6 women, while the 5 drummers skillfully took turns alongside our lady helm. The races were intense, igniting a strong bond among the Wraysbury Dragons & Waka Ama’s crew members. We emerged our victorious, claiming first place in the 200m S20 Open race, and narrowly missed the top spot in the 500m S20 Open, securing a brilliant second place. Adding to the thrill, we joined with the esteemed Henley Dragons ladies in the S14 Women category, achieving a remarkable second place finish out of 10 competing teams! We ended the day with some cold beers by the stunning Caldecotte Lake 🍻The Caldecotte Pub and Grill. Cheers.
