Jack Wormald and Olly Thompson from the dragon boating & outrigging section of the club recently competed in an OC2 in two ocean races in Europe, the Briezh Ocean Race (BOR) in Brittany, and the Baltic Sea Fest (BSF) in Germany.
At the BOR, they faced a 38km downwind with 25kt winds and a raging Atlantic Ocean. After more than three hours of racing with lots of surfing down huge waves, Jack and Olly finished victors.
The Baltic race comprised four laps of a 6km course in light winds and sunny skies. Once again, Jack and Olly won.
