Wraysbury Dragons & Waka Ama, the paddling section of WSPC, continues its proud history of its paddlers representing Great Britain in dragon boat racing, with 30 WSPC members being selected for the 2025 World Nations Championships held in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany, which was the largest World Nations Championships held to date, with 33 countries competing.
Our members contributed to all the medals won by Great Britain, reaching 11th on the medal table, with a tally of 2 x Golds, 2 x Silvers and 4 x Bronzes.
- Gold– Senior C Open Standard Boat 2km.
- Gold– Senior C Open Standard Boat 1km.
- Silver– Senior C Women Small Boat 200m.
- Silver– Senior C Women Small Boat 500m.
- Bronze– Senior B Open Small Boat 2km.
- Bronze– Senior B Mixed Standard Boat 1km.
- Bronze– Senior C Open Standard Boat 500m.
- Bronze– Senior C Women Small Boat 2km.
In addition, our Premier paddlers reached the Grand Finals in all four race distances in the Open standard boat and Mixed small boat categories.
