New club members Rupert, Hilary, Jeffy and Charlotte had their first taste of BDA National League racing on the River Trent at Nottingham on Sunday 23 July. They came home very happy as Wraysbury Dragons won the 450m Open and 2,800m Open Finals. The 2,800m pursuit race provided a great spectacle with all 17 crews racing simultaneously, with a 15 second interval between each crew. Starting last off, Wraysbury Dragons had tricky water conditions to deal with but passed a number of crews to win, finishing with a lot of the river in the boat!
