Wraysbury Dragons & Waka Ama entered three W6 and two W12 (outrigger) crews at the 2026 International Va’a Federation World Sprints held in Singapore. Marina Bay provided a spectacular race venue with a backdrop of international banks’ skyscraper offices. Our crews battled against the very best W6 and W12 crews in the world. The crews from Tahiti dominated the racing, with the crews from New Zealand providing the main opposition. It was a great experience for our paddlers to race at such a prestigious event, and to watch the sport’s truly elite paddlers.
In addition to the club’s W6 and W12 crews, five of our paddlers were selected to represent Great Britain in the V1 racing in various age categories. Two of them reached the semi finals, a great achievement.
